![]() The logbook lets you filter your recorded flights by aircraft, date of flight, engine category, departure or arrival and more. Logbook The flights are stored in a logbook (an sqlite database). most stuffs on the 32NX).Īll in all, I'll definitely try to tackle this as this would definitely open up the possibility to record even more exciting flights (testing engine off during flight □), but it will require more experimenting than I can do right now. Sky Dolly The Black Sheep for Your Flight Recordings About Sky Dolly is an open source application which records and replays your flights in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (MSFS). Another way is to replay all the proper start-up procedure, which would require recording a much larger number of variables, some might not be available via SimConnect at all (e.g. Auto-start also try to take control of some variables, which might conflict with the on-going replay itself. There is a auto-start event (similar to ctrl+E) that the tool can trigger, but I don't think it work on all aircraft because ctrl+E doesn't either. Starting engine itself is a relatively complex topic. Main thing is that I don't really see this as a very big issue or one with straight forward & reliable solution. But RPM seems to stay > 0 even if engine is off if you have enough airspeed. Releases (download) Edited Februby _Patrol Please report any issues or feature request in GitHub Issues. YourControl when you are not in control, other replay tools). This means it might conflict with other tools leverating the same feature (e.g. To prevent fighting with MSFS own calculation, the tool sends freeze command when you start replay and unfreeze when you stop. I'm still experimenting with different ways to perform the replay to find the best one. Replay is not very smooth at the moment, especially when turning on the ground. Hence, you should start recording when engine is already running and stop recording before turning off the engine. I don't know a reliable way to tell if an engine is running or not, so this tool cannot auto-start an engine. Some of them are only for analysis and display and don't affect replay. The tool records this list of variables from SimConnect Structs.cs for each sim frame. ![]() Quickly jump to any place in your recording (you have to start replay and then pause replay first) Save recording into a file and load it on another computer Most graphics card software also have a screen record feature, though I can’t seem to find it on my Radeon software.A simple recorder to record and replay flight in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Probably just a setting I’ve got wrong somewhere, but I’ve not had time to dive into it and try to fix it. It also seems to get good video, but I’ve also had issues with the sound on that as well. Xbox game bar also has screen record feature. I’ve used it, and it did record good video - but when I used it, it recorded it in AVI format that created very large files, and my computer had issues when working with those files (and they don’t work in most video editing software.) I’ve since tried to tweak it to record AVI files, but have been having issues with the sound when doing that. Some users say they think the colors are a little better with this Software. I’ve also seen folks tout MSI Afterburner. It is on Asobo’s official list of programs that don’t play well with MSFS (supposedly can cause instability/CTD issues.) I do get a framerate hit whenever I record with it, but other than that, it has performed fine. As other have mentioned, OBS Studio is a decent product to use for screen capture, and it is what I use most of the time personally.
